Here are two portals for genealogy. Cyndi’s List contains over 1,000 sites for Canada. Francogene is a gateway to Francophone sites.
Government sites Archives Of Ontario has vital statistics, court records, wills, and land records and many other resources. Bibliotheque Et Archives Nationales Du Quebec is the home of Quebec records. Library And Archives Canada is home to the Canadian Genealogy Centre to get started. CANADA GENWEB PROJECT is part of a worldwide volunteer project to connect the genealogy resources of countries. The Canadian County Atlas Digital Project is a database of property owners from township maps in county atlases between 1874 and 1881. Home Children is a database of over 100,000 child migrants to Canada from Great Britain and the ships they came on. Library and Archives Canada also have a database of immigration records 1925 to 1935, and soldier’s information from the First World War and WWII. Genealogical Helplist Canada has a list of volunteers who help find specific Canadian genealogical information. inGeneas includes citations tfor land, vital statistics, census, immigration and military records covering the period 1748 to 1906. Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid is a database to over 3,000,000 Ontario interments.

Commonwealth War Graves Commission provides information on 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the world wars.
